Roots rocker Steve Earle has shared a new blues stomper titled "Baby Baby Baby (Baby)," the opening track from his upcoming 16th studio album, Terraplane. Listen to it above via SoundCloud.

Over a standard blues shuffle, the song is driven by harmonica playing and Chris Masterson's distorted guitar work. Steve's vocals contain the qualities of a seasoned blues singer: deep and gritty.

Steve Earle spoke to the Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy about why he chose the title, "I’ve always experimented with writing choruses that dumb. I thought it was funny to call it 'Baby Baby Baby' and then subtitle it 'Baby.'"

Terraplane will be out February 17th on New West Records. It's available for pre-order via Amazon (Vinyl, CD) and iTunes.
