UK rockers Royal Blood stopped by BBC Radio 1 recently to play a cover of The Police's 1978 hit song "Roxanne" for BRIT Awards week. You can watch their performance above.

The band takes the original and gives it a more rocking attitude. Michael Kerr's distorted bass lines and Ben Thatcher's skillful drum fills mix together to give their version of "Roxanne" a harder edge. Royal Blood are rising stars on the scene, and this performance displays their talent to give a classic song a new, fresh sound.

Speaking of awards, watch them present the NME Rock 'n' Roll Soul Award to Jimmy Page on YouTube.

You can get Royal Blood's self-titled debut on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) or iTunes.

The band will be opening on select dates for the Foo Fighters upcoming tour. For more information on that, as well as Royal Blood's latest music and news, check out their Zumic artist page.
