In anticipation of their upcoming album for Nonesuch Records, The Traveling Kind, Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell performed gospel classic "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" on The Late Show with David Letterman last Friday. The duo called upon a wide cast of supporting talent, including folk musician Amos Lee, acclaimed violinist / fiddler Mark O'Connor, and even actor / banjoist Steve Martin.

The ensemble uses multiple guitars, Martin on banjo, and O'Connor on fiddle to add a rich and saturated feel to the orchestration, and the harmonies of Harris, Crowell, and Lee reveal a unique personality in this faithful rendition. The performance is also a nod to David Letterman's last time doing The Late Show, which is set to be May 20, 2015.

The Traveling Kind is available for pre-order on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
