It's not surprising that the new Mountain Goats music video for "The Legend of Chavo Guerrero" is filled with pro wrestling, after they released the full record -- Beat The Champ -- a concept album focused on the sport. What is surprising is the level of dedication and accuracy put into the production of the video.

With frontman John Darnielle referencing a 2011 CM Punk promo, Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine, The Daily Show) dressing up in an outfit fit for the macho man Randy Savage himself, and the actual wrestler Chavo Guerrero Sr. jumping off the turnbuckle for his signature moonsault flip at the last second, it is easy to tell that this video was made by fans of professional wrestling. The music backing the video shows that it was also made by great musicians.

You can pick up Beat The Champ on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
