New Jersey's own Fetty Wap has been blazing the streets and climbing the charts with the release of his smash hit "Trap Queen." Earlier this year, it entered the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at the No. 2 spot. The song was definitely a sleeper hit as it was unleashed in April of last year.

The Southern trap sound is making its way in many hip hop songs regardless of what region these rappers are from. Produced by Tony Fadd, "Trap Queen" has a strong southern influence with its synthesized chords and straight-up trap percussion. His vocals can be compared to Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug, and Future. The song has a concept that's easy to grasp. Basically, the Paterson born MC raps about cooking up drugs and counting money with his girlfriend, i.e. the Trap Queen.

The video was directed by Nitt Da Gritt, who is the head of Fetty's label RGF Productions. It features Fetty and his large entourage partying, drinking Remy Martin Cognac 1738 and flaunting large sums of money in his hometown.
