The very iconic and tender song about his mother, "Lisa Sawyer," tells a story about her early life in New Orleans, and it sure is catching the attention of many. "Smooth Sailin'" offers a distinct soul sound with soft call and response parts in the bridge. The album's compelling gospel closer, "River," is a clear tribute to the early artists that inspire him.
