This past weekend, Metallica were one of the big acts to grace the stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL. To the delight of those who couldn't make it out to the show, the band has uploaded a live performance of "Wherever I May Roam" and "Am I Evil?" to their YouTube. Watch them get their shred on above.

Kicking off with their 1991 hit, "Wherever I May Roam," you can see the intensity the band brings to their live performances. For most of the song, we get a side stage view of the band playing, with a cool close-up of Kirk Hammett soloing towards the end.

Metallica's version of "Am I Evil?' is a headbanging treat for the old-school Metallica fans. The song was originally recorded by British heavy metal band Diamond Head, and Metallica covered it on their 1983 album, Kill 'Em All.

The video begins with bassist Robert Trujillo, guitarist Kirk Hammett, and drummer Lars Ulrich meeting their fans at a meet and greet session. We're then taken to a room for a behind-the-scenes segment where we see the band practicing and discussing their gameplan for the upcoming show. We started the video at the performance, but you can easily rewind to see that backstage footage.

You can pick up the audio recording of Metallica's complete Lollapalooza set by visiting LiveMetallica.com.
