Since its release in 1982, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder's classic duet "Ebony & Ivory" has become one of the most polarizing Top-40 hits due to its massive commercial success, yet critical disdain. Love it or hate it, you've gotta respect the sonic improvements made in this exclusive 2015 reissue.

"Ebony & Ivory" was originally produced by the legendary George Martin, who favored a more conservative pop mix which dulled a lot of the high frequencies and buried the cymbals in the mix. Aside from refreshing some of the high end, this fresh remix also boosts the compression on the bass to give the mix a fatter, more modern aesthetic. You can compare this updated mix to the 1982 music video on YouTube.

McCartney shared the single along with three other remastered cuts from Tug of War in anticipation of its deluxe edition reissue. Tug of War (Deluxe Edition) will be out Oct. 2nd and is available for purchase on Amazon (2CD/DVD, Vinyl, MP3).
