Following last week's release of Meow The Jewels, RTJ get back to their hardcore ways with an aggressive new hook for the soundtrack to Rubble Kings, a documentary film available now online and in select theatres. The documentary tells the story of the birth of hip hop during gang-ruled New York in the '60s and '70s.

The production is as heavy as it is gritty, treading the line somewhere between noise-rock and hip hop. Killer Mike opens up the track telling the listener about the violence he's seen on the streets, before the beat comes in with a fat 12/8 groove.

The jig-like flow is pretty sick, and offers up some important insight to the lack of opportunity and violence within urban communities like the 1970s Bronx setting of the Rubble Kings documentary. Learn more at rubblekings.com.

Last month the Adult Swim Singles collection shared “Lively Hood” by DOOMSTARKS, the long-awaited collaboration between Ghostface Killah & MF DOOM.
