DAVID GILMOUR TALKS "THE GIRL IN THE YELLOW DRESS"

Directed by Danny Madden, the artsy animated video has a smooth, French influence to it that perfectly compliments the song's jazzy vibe. A woman in a yellow dress enters a nighclub, and immediately all eyes are on her. She chooses to dance with a well-dressed gentleman, but her attention is drawn to the saxophone player that's charming her with his playing.

The interview shows Gilmour talking about creating "The Girl In The Yellow Dress." He originally recorded the song with a jazz trio, and re-recorded it later at Abbey Road Studios with people he credits in the clip. Polly Samson, Gilmour's wife and the song's lyricist, is featured in the video as well.
