Garage rock band Fuzz have released their new studio album, II, via In The Red records. The trio includes Ty Segall (drums / vocals), Charlie Moothart (guitar / vocals), and Chad Ubovich (bass).

With 14 songs that span 67 minutes, II is one of those albums that you can just push play and allow the hazy fuzziness of the band's rock sound to wash over you. Elements of metal, punk, garage, sludge, and other styles are thrown into a blender, and what you get is spacey rock that knows no limits.

Fuzz could be the bastard child of Black Sabbath, combining heavily drenched guitar riffs with echoed vocals, or the lost cousin of Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, mixing psychedelic underpinnings with intoxicating melodies. The power trio manages to create a layered depth with their instruments. Guitarist Charlie Moothart, also of the band Moonhearts, is supurb at laying down rhythm and lead lines that play off each other, bringing to mind legends like Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page.

Songs we like include "Let It Live," "Bringer of Light," "Pipe," "Say Hello," "Burning Wreath," "New Flesh," and "Silent Sits The Dust Bowl."
