Following the release of their latest LP, Thrill of the Arts, Ann Arbor funk group Vulfpeck has just issued a new music video for their song "Rango II." Check it out above via YouTube.

"Rango II" begins as a fairly standard performance video, employing a stationary, single angle to capture as much of the action in the frame as possible. As the song progresses however, little effects start to happen such as a split screen and Blake Mills' enlarged feet. The video gets more and more pixelated as it zooms in on key objects, such as the guitar.

Despite the grittiness of the video, Vulfpeck's stellar performance and tightness as a group shines through. Especially present is the delicious virtuosity of slide guitar player Blake Mills. His tactful approach to the melody is both primal and refined, gracefully lining the funk pocket of Vulfpeck's signature groove. You can tell from their body language that the band is having a really fun time playing this gem of a jam.

Thrill of the Arts is available on Amazon. You can also stream the full album for free at Vulfpeck's Bandcamp.
