Indie chillwave band Neon Indian has a wild music video they released this week. Watch "Slumlord Rising" above, courtesy of the Yours Truly record label's YouTube.
This music video has a little bit of everything. After the credits, we see a synth keyboardist playing a minor arpeggio, which leads to a cinematic sequence of events centered around a mysterious briefcase. Spoiler alert: Don't fuck with the slumlord!
The 8½ minute video actually combines two tracks from the VEGA INTL. Night School album: "Slumlord" and "Slumlord's Re-Lease." The sound is a cool mix of vintage latin funk, disco and '80s new wave with a more modern trance electronic groove meeting indie synth pop.
At the end of the video, the band directs you to yourstru.ly, where you can learn more about the band and the album.
VEGA INTL. Night School is out now. Pick it up on Amazon (Vinyl, CD). You can also stream it on Spotify.
