Many of us see Adele as a serious, soulful performer who sings exclusively about tragic heartbreaks, especially after the release of her top-charting single "Hello." However, we get to see Adele "from the other side" as a lighthearted and delightful individual during her appearance on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" from last night's Late Late Show on CBS. Watch above.
The internet is buzzing about the part when Adele unexpectedly raps Nicki Minaj's lines from Kanye West's "Monster," starting at the 10:30 mark of the video. Nicki responded on social media:
Adele is mad ratchet. I can't take her? #UK #WutsGood

Adele and James Corden belt her hits "Hello," "Someone Like You," "All I Ask," and "Rolling In The Deep" (James comes in with some killer harmonies and Adele's vocals are brilliant as always). They also sing along to the Spice Girls and Adele talks about being influenced by the '90s girl group as a youngster.
Between singing, the two talk about hair, drinking, and her "squad." After "Hello," Adele reveals that she played drums on the track in the studio. They also discuss more serious matters, including the naming of Adele's albums. She states that each album is named after her age because they're "polaroids" of her life and she "wants to take her fans on a journey." She also claims that 25, will be the last album with her age as the title.
