Norwegian metal band Kvelertak have shared a hard-hitting song titled "1985," a track from their upcoming album, Nattesferd. Listen to it above, via the band's YouTube.
"1985" seems to be an appropriate title for the song, as it sounds reminiscent of mid-'80s Van Halen. Chugging guitar riffs, growling vocals, and a solid rhythm all come together for a new direction of sound that the band seem to be experimenting with. The difference (aside from the language) is that Eddie Van Halen would layer multiple tracks of himself on studio albums, while Kvelertak have three guitar players working in tandem.
Nattesferd is scheduled for a May 13, 2016 release via Roadrunner Records. It will be available for pre-order beginning April 8.
