On May 5, 2017, the Grateful Dead will release an 11 CD collection titled Get Shown The Light through Rhino Records. The package will contain four complete shows from the band's Terrapin Station Tour in May of 1977 (5/5/77, 5/7/77, 5/8/77, and 5/9/77).
Above, you can stream a jammed-out version of "Morning Dew" from what some say is the "holy grail" of Grateful Dead shows - Cornell University's Barton Hall on May 8, 1977. You may hear a few flubbed notes, but the emotional performance shows the band firing on all cylinders.
Pick up Get Shown The Light at the Grateful Dead official website. The 15,000 limited edition package will also contain artwork by Masaki Koike, a book by Peter Conners, and an essay by Nicholas Meriwether.
In related news, the Dead are also planning on releasing a 5-LP vinyl set and 3-CD set of the Cornell 5/8/77 concert.
