Body Count are one of the few bands who can make heavy metal, punk rock, and rap music come together in a way that is not only powerful, but also meaningful.
In their latest song, "Black Hoodie," frontman Ice-T addresses the issue of unwarranted police violence. Watch the music video above, courtesy of Century Media Records' YouTube.
The video opens up with a black man getting shot down before thunderous drums and angry guitar riffs play while Ice-T comments:
All these people out here tripping off of police brutality like this shit is something new, Give me a fucking break, I've been talking about this shit for over 20 years and now you can kill a motherfucker just because of how he's dressed. Are you fucking serious?
Body Count have also shared "No Lives Matter" and "The Ski Mask Way" from their upcoming album Bloodlust — scheduled to be released on March 31, 2017. Pick it up on Amazon.
