Just one year after the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, Jake Bugg decided to leave the UK and link up with Malibu-based producer Rick Rubin for his follow-up album, Shangri La. "Simple Pleasures" is somewhat of a rock ballad in the style of the Red Hot Chili Peppers--a group that Rubin has worked with in the past (Chili Peppers' Chad Smith was actually brought in as a studio drummer for the album).

According to Island Def Jam Records, this track is Rubin's personal favorite. Shangri La, which is set to release on November 19th, reveals another side--a more mature side--of the nineteen-year-old singer-songwriter. Regarding his thoughts on the album as a whole, Bugg said "My first album felt like a list of songs, whereas this one feels like a whole entity with something to say."

You can visit iTunes to purchase two album singles, "Slumville Sunrise" and "What Doesn't Kill You," and preview the other ten tracks. Don't forget to check out Jake Bugg's Zumic artist page for his tour schedule and all of his official videos.
