Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks have a new album, Wig Out at Jagbags, due on January 7th, and today they've shared a video for the second single. Like "Lariat" before it, "Cinnamon And Lesbians" is a laid back jam chock full of lyrics that only Malkmus could ever have composed (beginning with the impossible couplet, "Shanghai'd in Oregon, Cinnamon and Lesbians").

The "Cinnamon And Lesbians" video takes a very literal approach, visualizing everything that comes from Malkmus' mouth, from the song's titular characters to "Christian sailors." There are dancing hippies, a conspicuous bong, and at one point, a few of The Grateful Dead's signature dancing bears (which is funny, because "Lariat" mentions the The Dead by name). We're glad to see that the former Pavement frontman is still having fun and writing lyrics that are weird enough to rival the time he pondered the tonality of Geddy Lee's speaking voice in one particularly memorable song.

Wig Out at Jagbags will be available to stream on Amazon starting on New Year's Eve.
