A little over a month after sharing a snippet of a collaborative track with Sampha and Jessie Ware, SBTRKT is back with some new material. "Hold The Line" premiered yesterday on BBC Radio 6, and now you can listen to a high-quality radio rip of the track above. DJ Mary Anne Hobbs takes a while to introduce the song, which starts around 50 seconds into the audio.

Along with "Hold The Line," SBTRKT sent the radio station a note containing details about the song's upcoming release:

"These tracks will form a collection of vinyl 12"s before my next album and its singles, maybe a digital release, too. They'll be out in a couple of months. All instrumental stuff along the lines of the music I put out on Ramp or the early Young Turks releases."

As SBTRKT's breakout, self-titled album was mostly comprised of collaborations with singers such as Ware and Sampha, an instrumental track like "Hold The Line" may not attract as much attention from pop-hungry fans, and that's a real shame. It's a shimmering, spacey jam, showcasing superb restraint in its gradual build and carefully-crafted outro. If this is a sign of things to come, these future EPs from SBTRKT should be great fun.
