CHVRCHES are creating their own unique style of electronic pop music. The Scottish trio stopped by the Australian radio station Triple J and performed a cover of The Arctic Monkeys' "Do I Wanna Know?" as part of the station's Like A Version segment. Last week, Lorde covered James Blake's "Retrograde" - which you can watch right here on Zumic.
This performance is much different than the original. Lead singer Lauren Mayberry has a lovely voice, and as she trades lines with Martin Doherty we get a fresh take on the song. At the end, the band apologizes to Arctic Monkeys fans, knowing that they've really twisted the song around. There's really no need for that, as their version is quite brilliant in its own right.
