"The Devil is a Lie" - Rick Ross Live on Jimmy Fallon 2.24.2014 [Hulu Video]

As pre-release hype finally drew to a close for Schoolboy Q's just-released Oxymoron today, the album that the majority of hip hop heads are now anticipating most is Rick Ross' Mastermind, due out on March 4th. Last night, the Miami MC took to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to surf upon hype waves, perform his new track "The Devil is a Lie," and most of all, get the word out about his album. Watch the performance, which featured The Roots, above.

Getting a full band treatment, the song's "overly dramatic production" became more full-bodied, with bombastic percussion provided by Questlove and Frank Knuckles, and Tuba Gooding Jr. bolstering the track's sampled horn section. Jay Z didn't show up to replicate his guest verse, but between Rozay and his hypeman, there was enough stage presence to go around.
