Today, Frankie Cosmos released Zentropy, her debut album on the indie label Double Double Whammy. Stream the whole album for free, via BandCamp above. If you like it, pay for it. You can purchase a digital download through their BandCamp page and the vinyl is available through the record label.

Greta Kline is the singer songwriter guitar player who calls herself Frankie Cosmos. Amazingly, she's released over 40 albums through Bandcamp since 2009. Zentropy is the first album that's been recorded in this three piece band configuration, and the results are stunning. A few of the songs have been released as free digital streams leading up to the album release; "Birthday Song" has over 65,000 plays and "Owen" has gotten over 15,000 plays since being posted on SoundCloud about 2 months ago. Pretty impressive for a young indie artist.

The New York City based group combines anti-folk with indie pop on this record. The results are sublime. Easily relatable messages are delivered with great energy and gorgeous textures. All the songs are under two-and-a-half minutes, and the whole album is under 20 minutes. Greta Kline's voice is beautiful, and the performances of her bandmates are captivating in their own rite.
