On April 5th, PBS will air Nine Inch Nails: Austin City Limits, an hour-long concert special filmed during the band's ACL show in Austin last November. Today, Rolling Stone has premiered the performance of "Sanctified" from the concert. Watch it above.
The track from 1989's Pretty Hate Machine, in which Trent Reznor relates feelings of justification, purification and sanctification that all stem from him being "inside of you," is bolstered by two backup singers in this performance, who add some power to the song's chorus. Bassist Pino Palladino gets his chance to shine during the song's intro, playing a groovy and difficult bassline while the song gradually builds up.
Tune in to PBS on April 5th at 11:00 PM ET/PT to watch the rest of NIN's performance. For more of the band's music, videos and news, visit their Zumic artist page.
