For their upcoming episode of Austin City Limits, Nine Inch Nails performed at Austin's Moody Theater, a far cry from their recent festival and arena circuit. The episode doesn't air until April 5th, but ACL has shared a web-exclusive clip of the band playing "Satellite."
The track is from NIN's most recent album, Hesitation Marks, and the live performance sees Trent Reznor back off from his typical rage to sing the mellow song. The addition of two live backup singers gives the song a very organic feel, as does drummer Ilan Rubin's rhythmic pounding. The guitars trade off playing looped riffs as the song builds up and backs off. Check it out above.
