The Merrill Garbus fronted tUnE-yArDs are finally getting ready to release their followup album to 2011's excellent W H O K I L L, entitled Nikki Nack. Garbus has now shared "Wait For A Minute," the band's second single off the album, following the release of the album's first single, "Water Fountain." Listen to the track above.

The track is more polished and less frantic than anything off of W H O K I L L, with Garbus singing a '90s-like R&B melody with a simple verse-chorus structure. Just like "Water Fountain," there are a few synth lines and sound effects lurking in the background, but the core of the song is composed of mainly bass and drums. Garbus talked about Nikki Nack's more structured songwriting with Pitchfork, stating:

I really went all the way back to square one: I walked into an open public library and checked out Molly-Ann Leikin's [1987] book How to Write a Hit Song. I learned that the chorus should hit in the first 30 seconds.

Nikki Nack will be available May 6th through 4AD Records. You can preorder the album on iTunes.
