Today is a big day for The Black Keys. They appeared on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio show, they premiered a brand new song, and they released this bible-thumping revival tent music video for "Fever."
The Theo Wenner-directed video sees Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney testify televangelist-style in front of live studio audience. They may not be selling salvation, but you can call 1 (646) 397-6172 to join the ranks of the names at the bottom of the screen. The names, incidentally, include real-life serial killers, politicians, and classic prank name "Mike Hunt."
Naturally, we called the number and while it won't save your soul, you can listen in on a rather befuddling exchange between a record company and somebody trying to sell an album. It's a little bit hard to hear, but worth a chuckle.
"Fever" will be out on The Black Keys' upcoming record, Turn Blue, which is due May 13th. You can pre-order it at Amazon. For more music, videos, news, and tour dates, check out The Black Keys' Zumic artist page.
