Lana Del Rey's "West Coast" is slated to be on her upcoming LP, Ultraviolence, and it's already gotten the remix treatment from Four Tet.
The original is a slow, sultry jam, but Four Tet's version is totally danceable and full of energy. The structure is chopped up, the percussion is pulsating, and the overall runtime is extended by two full minutes. The addition of electronic effects brings the song into totally unrecognizable territory here and there, but Del Rey's vocals keep it grounded in the original. Listen to the track above.
Ultraviolence will be out June. For more music, videos, news, and tour dates from Lana Del Rey, check out her Zumic artist page.
