On the eve of their Turn Blue album release, The Black Keys treated fans to a half hour show on 53rd street in front of a two story stage erected on the side of the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. The free show was attended by those who had entered a ticket lottery via an email from Live on Letterman. The show was additionally live streamed through the CBS Live on Letterman website. You can watch the full performance above.
The eight song show included material from the new album, Turn Blue, as well as the 2011 album El Camino and 2010 album Brothers. Roughly 300 fans got the opportunity to watch The Black Keys perform up close on a warm spring evening. There was little interaction between the band and crowd as the duo went through their setlist. The performance preceded their scheduled appearance for the same night on the Late Show with David Letterman.
The Black Keys have announced a world tour starting in September in support of Turn Blue. The first round of pre-sales began this morning at 10AM local time. You can find additional tour information here. For The Black Keys latest music and news, check out their Zumic artist page.
