Nearly 11 months after Ed Sheeran released his 2014 studio album, x, he's now got an official music video for the hit song "Photograph." Watch above, as home videos play of Ed Sheeran's formative years up through fairly current footage of him playing for huge crowds and goofing around backstage. Since being released yesterday, it's already got over 1 million plays on YouTube.
Co-written with Snow Patrol's Johny McDaid and produced by Jeff Bhasker and Emile Haynie, the track never sacrifices mood for style with a buildup that utilizes guitar, organ, piano, and drums, with glimpses of strings and vocal harmonies surfacing in the mix as well. Sheeran delivers a sense of optimism amongst the sentimental lyrics that build up into an outro featuring only the man and his guitar with the line, "Wait for me to come home," before the song abruptly ends.
