Yesterday afternoon, Rodrigo y Gabriela set up shop on Grafton Street in Dublin, Ireland, the place where the duo garnered their initial of popularity in the early 2000s. Coming off of their fifth studio album, 9 Dead Alive, the neuvo-flamenco artists were in Dublin for their show at the National Concert Hall last night.

In a show of kindness, all the money they raised was donated to Dublin's Eden Animal Shelter.

Although both of the musicians are Mexican, returning to Ireland, more specifically Grafton Street, is somewhat of a homecoming. More than a decade ago, Rodrigo y Gabriela emigrated to Dublin, and bolstered their reputation playing in pubs and in the street. They became so beloved that their album Rodrigo y Gabriela debuted at number one on the Irish Albums Chart in 2006. In the short video above, you can see them performing "Diablo Rojo" from that album.

The duo is well-known for their incredible control over their guitars. They frequently utilize their guitars as percussion instruments. The jam is both rhythmic and intricate. Gabriela is especially nifty with her hands, so much so that they appear as blurs for much of the video.
