British alt-rock upstarts Nai Harvest have a new split with Playlounge, entitled Flower, out now on TopShelf Records in the U.S. and Dog Knights in the UK. You can listen to their aptly titled contribution "Buttercups" above.

While their previous works have taken a more math-rock and emo influence, this song has a distinct Pavement flair to it. There are churning, powerful guitars and fuzz-laden atmospherics throughout. Lead vocalist Ben Thompson pours out with passion as he sings, starting powerfully and slowly moving down toward a near whisper, before exploding at the end with a scream. This song is an emotional roller coaster and it's definitely something you won't want to skip over.

You can buy Flower at the Dog Knights store. For more on Nai Harvest, including music, and upcoming tour dates check out their Bandcamp.
