Less than two weeks until Owl John's self-titled debut album, the Frightened Rabbit side project have released their third stellar single in a row, entitled "Stupid Boy." The album's closer, the song is the perfect mix of the dancelike playfulness of Frightened Rabbit and the darker edge we've seen so far from Owl John. That darkness manifests itself here in the song's interesting chord structure, which plays between major and unexpected minor sounds to set you on edge.
Owl John will be out August 4th. You can check out both of the previous singles, "Hate Music" and "Red Hand," here at Zumic. You'll get free downloads of those two songs, "Stupid Boy," and one more track to follow when you pre-order the album via Owl John's website.
