The National have released the official music video for "I Need My Girl" on YouTube today, not coincidentally on Valentine's Day. Watch above. The song was first released on the band's 2013 album Trouble Will Find Me.
It's a nice bit of eye candy for the somber tune by the Brooklyn by way of Cincinnati indie rockers. You can feel the emotion of the song as you see couples spinning, holding each other, and looking each other in the eyes. There's a simplicity to the video that works well, although some of the visual effects are dazzling.
