British synth-pop songstress Charli XCX performed on Late Show with David Letterman last night. Watch "Need Ur Love" above via YouTube.
The 22-year-old, all dolled up and scantily clad, performs a heavy-hearted mid-tempo ballad atop a glowing piano (played by Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij). Her sultry voice suits her equally saucy, raven-haired mystique, while her gigantic glittery platform wedges pretty much steal the show.
Coming out of a spunky electro-pop family, Charli is credited and featured on both hit singles "I Love It" by Icona Pop and "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea, which earned her international fame. Following up with her own #1 single, "Boom Clap," she has proved that she's a bonafide pop star in her own right. Combine killer vocal chops with a little attitude and sex appeal, and that's exactly what you get.
