Neil Young plans to keep busy in 2018.
This week, Neil announced 2018 solo tour dates for North America. At this time, it is unknown if he will be releasing any new music or an album in conjunction with the tour. Six concerts are scheduled for June and July. He will be performing in St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, and Boston. Stay tuned, we will be updating this page if additional concerts or information becomes available.
Last week, he played a string of concerts in California with his longtime backing band Crazy Horse (in a twist, Nils Lofgren played guitar and keyboard instead of the usual lineup featuring Frank "Poncho" Sampedro). On the heels of those shows, he revaled plans to release "four or five Crazy Horse albums that have never been heard, that are sitting there ready to come out" as well as a deluxe reissue of the 1982 album Trans, in an interview with Yahoo!

On Neil's website, he commented about visiting each city:
[Chicago] "At the Chicago Auditorium Theater, the same theater where we played one of our first CSNY gigs, just before Woodstock; where I played Tonight’s The Night in 1973. I have played Chicago many times since then, had big times in so many halls and stadiums and this one will be like coming home... I hope all the folks we want to hear me will be there."
[Detroit] "At the beautiful FOX Theater, lovingly restored by my friend, Dick Kughn and his friends who love Detroit so much... The Motor City, where I first recorded with the Mynah Birds on Motown in 1965, where I appeared in a Hootenanny at the Chessmater Club on Livernois and wrote songs in the White Castle across the street; where I played Masonic Hall with CSNY’s first tour, and where I have so many great friends at Ford."
[St. Louis] "Appearing at the incredible Fox Theater again! I can’t believe my luck that I am going back into that dressing room with all the signatures on the walls and onto that beautiful stage with all the great folks from St. Louis in the audience... My old friend Joe, who drove Greene & Stone’s limo, was from this town. They managed Buffalo Springfield. It’s a soulful and beautiful city. I do look forward to seeing it again."
[Boston] "One of my first solo shows as in the Wang Theater, then called the Music Hall. It’s a real beauty folks – a chapel of soul and music... I hope it still sounds as good as it did then and that I do too! I can’t wait to get there and find out."
