III - Mariachi El Bronx

The Bronx have returned to their Mexican-influenced alter egos Mariachi El Bronx. III explores new sonic territory, going beyond simply rehashing punk music with mariachi sounds. The band creates a slick fusion of punk and Latin music, with passionate songwriting and strong production. Stream the record right here on Zumic.

Southbound - The Doobie Brothers

The Doobie Brothers head to the American heartland with Southbound. The album sees them revisit their classic songs alongside modern country artists. It's The Girls - Bette Midler

Bette Midler pays homage to girl groups with her brand new album, It's The Girls. Motion - Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris has just released Motion, his fourth studio album. The Scottish producer has been releasing singles from the record since 2013, but now you can hear it in its entirety. The guest list is huge, featuring Gwen Stefani, Ellie Goulding, Ummet Ozcan, Big Sean, R3hab, Tinashe, Haim, Firebeatz, Hurts, and more. Stream the record right here at Zumic.

Storytone - Neil Young

Neil Young continues his prolific ways with Storytone, the second full length album the Canadian singer-songwriter has released in 2014 following A Letter Home.

The deluxe version of Storytone includes solo performances of the 10 songs with Neil on piano, guitar, and harmonica, as well as orchestral performances of the same 10 songs with a 92-piece orchestra. Themes on the album run from environmental activism and a love of cars to his recent divorce from wife of 36 years, Pegi Young. Listen to the official full album stream here at Zumic.

Purchase via Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) or iTunes.

La Isla Bonita - Deerhoof

Deerhoof's twelfth studio album, La Isla Bonita, takes them to diverse, chaotic territory. Produced by Nick Sylvester, the album is a multi-textured followup to 2012's Breakup Song. Drummer Greg Saunier spoke about the album in a press release:

No band is an island. Felt like one sometimes, in those budgetless and obscure early days, Satomi and me locked in the basement trying to figure out how our clashing personalities and ideas could turn into a band. If we hadn't had that crazed mid-90s Bay Area punk scene to call home, I doubt we'd still be here to chat about a 20th anniversary. ... We don't set out to create masterpieces. The Deerhoof fan is a thrill-seeker. This is the latest volley in an ongoing conversation we've been honored to hold for 20 years.

Stream La Isla Bonita right here at Zumic or pick it up via Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) or iTunes.
