Nile Rodgers has been a busy man. He recently contributed to tracks by Avicii, Tensnake and Chase & Status, as well as being a major contributor to the lastest Daft Punk album.
Nile is famous for bringing suave musical sophistication to the 70s disco craze by founding the band Chic. After that he created world famous tracks like Diana Ross’ "I’m Coming Out" and Sister Sledge’s "We Are Family." His career reached a second peak in the 80s when he produced songs like Diana Ross's "I'm Coming up" and David Bowie's "Let's Dance".
Nile mentioned how many EDM artists have come to him asking, in his words, "'Yo, you want to play on my record?". He also likened the soon to be unveiled music he has been working on to his high points in the 70s and 80s. "I had that roll in the late '70s with Chic and then I picked it up again right after Bowie where it’s a string. I feel even at this age I’m in the space right now where I’m in the zone."
