The Nashville-rooted alt stalwarts of Lambchop have dropped another track off their upcoming LP, FLOTUS (which the band uses as shorthand meaning "For Love Often Turns Us Still"). The song "NIV" features layers of programmed drums and piano beneath bright synth and filtered vocals, to create a subtle electronic treasure.
FLOTUS will be Lambchop's first studio album since 2012's Mr. M, and is shaping up as a heavily electronic album, departing from the chamber pop sound which Lambchop has established in its thirty-year career.
FLOTUS is scheduled for release on November 4, via Merge Records.
