Warpaint released their first single of 2015, titled "No Way Out." Check out the audio stream above.
The video recalls amateur YouTube videos for older audio tracks that can only really be found on vinyl. Google an older recording from John Coltrane or Miles Davis and you'll likely get a video similar to this one. The song itself is about a destructive, circular relationship, making the circular motion of the record relevant.
"No Way Out" is musically brooding. The vocal line is embellished with multiple voices, simulating a chant-like quality. There is a restless feel created largely by the drum kit and low register twangs of the guitar.
