Last week, electronic duo Darkside released Psychic, one of the year's most unique albums, which included the blues-infected single "Paper Trails." Today, Resident Advisor has posted a video of Darkside performing that track live as part of their new "RA Sessions" series.
Extending the original's runtime by a good five minutes, Darkside jam heavily on the live version of "Paper Trails," allowing guitarist Dave Harrington to embark on a jaw-dropping solo while Nicolas Jaar shadows his every move with electronic embellishment. While working in a genre that usually doesn't place much importance in improvisation, Darkside separate themselves from the pack of electronic musicians by giving fans of their album a completely new experience in a live setting.
