Compared to 2018, which saw the release of Wide Awake! and an accompanying tour, 2019 has been quiet for Parquet Courts. After predominantly playing festivals this year, the group has planned two standalone concerts for spring 2020: April 4 at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City and April 5 at Pennsylvania’s Ardmore Music Hall.

Joining Parquet Courts as the opening act are fellow Brooklynites, Public Practice — the self-described “DIY supergroup” made up of former members of WALL, Beverly, Crystal Stilts, Vivian Girls, and Dum Dum Girls.

In the interim, Parquet Courts have dates scheduled at UC Theatre in Berkeley, CA and Wonderfront Music Festival in San Diego later this week, plus appearances at Australia’s Lorne Falls and Marion Bay Falls festivals in December. Public Practice will also be touring the UK in May.
