Halifax indie band Monomyth have released a video for "Patsy," an otherworldly '50s-slow-dance-inspired tune. Watch above.
According to the band's Facebook, their genre is "stoner/kraut/drone," claiming they will "drag you inside their cosmic playground." After watching this creation, you may be ready to go along for the ride.
The video begins with a father's half-hearted toast to his daughter and her new husband. Some bad things happen in this bizarre depiction of a wedding reception. Much to her father's dismay, the bride shares a dance with a groom made of mirror glass. There's clanking wine glasses, a disco ball, and an eerie cat with different-colored eyes. Let's just say it's quite a party.
Their debut LP, Saturnalia Regalia, is out July 22nd via Mint Records. Pre-order it on Amazon.
