Gangrene, the musical project between MC-producers The Alchemist and Oh No, have linked up with Future Islands' Samuel T. Herring and Earl Sweatshirt for a new song. The exciting collab-oration is part of The Alchemist and Oh No Present: Welcome to Los Santos, the forthcoming expansion soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto V. The compilation will also feature joint efforts from Flying Lotus and MF DOOM, Action Bronson and Danny Brown, and more.
With a combined 39 years of experience, Oh No and The Alchemist are no stranger to making banging hip hop records, and when they combine as Gangrene it is a truly special pairing for the rap world. On this cut, they invite Future Islands' vocalist and Odd Future's most lyrical MC to go in over fuzzy, vintage bass and swirling flutes. Herring's baritone hook and Sweatshirt's angsty rhymes result in a unique fusion of the indie and hip hop worlds.
The Alchemist and Oh No Present: Welcome to Los Santos releases on April 21st, 2015 and features the likes of Tunde Adebimpe, Little Dragon, Phantogram, Killer Mike, Freddie Gibbs, Earl Sweatshirt and more.
