"Pleader" - alt-J [YouTube Music Video]

Yesterday, alt-J unveiled a music video for their song "Pleader," which was originally released as part of the group's 2017 album RELAXER. Check out the video above, courtesy of the artist's YouTube channel. 

Imbued with familial tension and picturesque natural landscapes, the cinematic video builds a foreboding narrative around the birth of a child. The Isaiah Seret-directed visuals were inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky's film The Sacrifice and the Richard Llewellyn novel How Green Was My Valley, which also provided creative direction for the song's lyrics. According to a statement on the band's Facebook page, the video "blends family drama with sacrifice and apocalypse."
