Los Angeles-based quartet FIDLAR have released a twisted new music video for their song "Punks." The track is from the band's album titled Too, which was released on September 4, 2015.

The video is centered on a man who attends an underground party in a retro, futuristic basement setting. The event begins normally but takes an unusual turn once the guests consume a peculiar green beverage.

FIDLAR teamed up with The Flaming Lips and a few artists based in Oklahoma City to create the music video and filmed most of it at the Lips' art space called The Womb. In a statement provided on their label Dine Alone Records' site, the bassist of the band makes a comment about the collaboration:

“Getting to make a video at The Womb using all of The Flaming Lips’ resources was a dream come true,” offered Schwartzel. “We had their entire warehouse at our disposal and there were always a bunch of ‘freaks’ hanging around offering to help us make cool stuff. There doesn’t seem to be that much to do in Oklahoma City, so if you’re a weird art kid, you’re probably going to end up hanging out with The Flaming Lips. Something I really like about both of our bands is the preference for friends over professionals. Getting your friends together, giving them a job to do, and then watching them excel at it is super cool."

Too is out now and available to purchase on Amazon. You can also stream it and read our review here on Zumic.
