While on tour in the UK, Pusha T stopped by BBC Radio 1 to sit down with Zane Lowe for an interview. Lowe, a self-professed "huge fan" of Clipse (Pusha's group with his brother Malice), was delighted to chat with the MC about his recent album My Name Is My Name, working with Kanye West, and the possibility of a Clipse reunion.

As he's taken to doing in most recent interviews, Pusha proclaimed to Lowe that MNIMN is the "hip-hop album of the year." Lowe agreed that it's "in contention," revealing his December 6th routine of sitting down with a cup of coffee to pick the year's best, but wouldn't rank it higher than his "top three" in the interview.

One thing he did praise about the album was its impeccable selection of beats, which Pusha credited to himself (firstly) and then to his label G.O.O.D. Music's "no radio singles" rule, which apparently requires absolutely no mention of radio airplay, singles or sales while in the studio. Pusha recalled times when record label head Kanye West kicked artists out of the studio for disobeying the rule, mostly occurring during his and Pusha's side-by-side recording of their respective 2013 albums. The fact that Yeezus and MNIMN were made concurrently in the same studio seemed to wow Lowe, and prompted him to call West a "genius," a remark Pusha quickly seconded.

Then Lowe came to the question that begs asking nearly every time a journalist gets within sniffing distance of Pusha T: When can we expect a Clipse reunion? Pusha said he honestly had no idea, citing his brother Malice's recent return to Christianity as the main reason the duo hasn't recorded an album together in over four years. Lowe was adamant and imaginative in his prodding of Pusha, envisioning a Clipse headlining Coachella set, a Speakerboxxx/Love Below-type double album, and even a simultaneous Outkast/Clipse rebirth. "You and Big Boi need to get together," Lowe said, "and you need to stage an intervention, and you need to get André and your brother in a room together, and then you need to tour!" Pusha just laughed, unable to even respond to such a tall order.
