Janelle Monáe's new official music video for "Q.U.E.E.N." featuring Erykah Badu is a masterpiece. Clocking in at 6 minutes 4 seconds, it sets a crazy stage and then features some really cool dancing, rocking out, rapping, crooning from the first lady of Neo-Soul, a gospel choir, and even some Miles Davis-esque trumpet work.
Why is Erykah Badu called Badoula Oblongata? That is a mystery.
It must be said that Janelle Monáe's rap at the end of the song is awesome. I love how she references Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye, Harriet Tubman, and Philip K. Dick
