Queens of the Stone Age's appearance on Austin City Limits ended the season's winter break, and their return was extraordinary. PBS previously released a video of "Smooth Sailing" as a teaser, but the performance as a whole was truly a spectacle to behold. The band was spot-on for every song, with Josh Homme's guitar cutting through the mix and nailing every note.
The set was equal parts new songs and classic hits, with Homme's charming banter breaking up the silence between songs. The crowd at Austin's Moody Theater cheered at radio hits like "No One Knows," but they were equally impressed by ...Like Clockwork cuts like "My God is the Sun" and "The Vampyre of Time and Memory." Watch the full hourlong set above.

Homme and guitarist Troy Van Leeuwan sat down for a short interview, as well. A portion of the talk was aired at the end of the episode, but the full interview is below. They discussed the benefits of playing live on television, their new record, and their "accidentally heavy" sound. Watch the interview and a behind-the-scenes segment below.
