Queens Of The Stone Age have had a busy year. In addition to releasing a #1 album and performing at Lollapalooza this summer, the band is also in the midst of an extensive North American tour. They will be in Europe throughout November, but then the band will return to the States for one more date: They have just announced an additional concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December 14th.
The band played a great show in Brooklyn's Masonic Temple only two months ago, so fans will be thrilled to see Queens Of The Stone Age again. The band also promises to deliver something a little better than Miley Cyrus' horrific VMAs appearance in the same Barclays Center last weekend. In a press release reported by Pitchfork, they state:
On December 14 Brooklyn, New York's Barclays Center will be designated as a (relatively) twerk-free-zone as QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE will play its debut headline engagement at the arena, restricting teddy bears to the merch table and returning guitars, drums and other such live instruments to the Barclays stage.
It's good to know there is still good music out there that doesn't rely on twerking and giant teddy bears. Queens Of The Stone Age are sure to put on a great performance, so get your tickets soon! They are already available for pre-sale on Ticketmaster.
